Grading scale 1 (lowest) – 10 (highest)

Digital Marketing

The average grade for digital marketing is low (3.75) with a rather large variation (2.593) across the studied companies. The best performing industry is Retail, with Industrial and Mobility companies having the greatest improvement potential. While most companies make effective use of search engine marketing and of their own media, the display marketing and affiliate marketing have significant room for improvement.

The average grade for digital product experience is satisfactory (6.75) and the variation across the corresponding companies is relatively low (0.925) which means all companies performed similar. The best performing industries are Banking and Retail, with Health Insurance having the greatest improvement potential. The functionality and design criteria received the highest grades; The content and company information as wells product & store information have significant room for improvement.

The best performing industry is Banking, with Consumer Products and Industrial companies having the greatest improvement potential. Product presentation is performing best under this dimension, with the purchase process and sales support following not far behind.

The best performing industry is Retail, with Industrial companies having the greatest improvement potential. While most companies perform well in customership, the customer service as well as the personalizing & involving initiatives are lagging

The average grade for mobile is satisfactory (6.5) with a large variation across the studied companies (3.650). The best performing industries are Retail and Banking, with Watches & Luxury companies having the greatest improvement potential. All companies have adjusted their online presence to meet the expectations of mobile users and, to the same extent, have made theirs services available via mobile apps.

The average grade for social is at the middle of the scale (4.75) with different variations across the studied industries (across companies the variance has a value of 2.500). The best performing industry is Retail, with Health Insurance and Mobility companies having the greatest improvement potential. While most companies make effective use of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, the other social network platforms are not being given significant attention and the website integration itself is graded in the lower part of the scale.
